This compact urban pied-à-terre began as a hard loft in a renovated old factory building. The couple who own it imagined the space as a romantic boutique hotel room for short visits to the city, but I thought it should be more personal. As a tribute to their successful marketing careers, the Mad Men era was my muse; you can see that in the mid-century modern cues in this space. But it goes well beyond pastiche, with quirky bespoke touches everywhere and a sense of humour that make this hideaway uniquely theirs.
